Tuesday and Wednesdays results proved a few upsets within the competition. 3 English clubs were held to draws, Man Utd were held in Prague 0-0, Panathinaikos pulled off a startling 2-2 draw to Arsenal and Liverpool also achieved a respectible 0-0 draw away from home to Deportivo La Coruna. Celtic suffered a miserable defeat in the hands of Shakhtar Donetsk conceding 3 goals which leaves them with the almost impossible task of qualifying for the next stage. Chelsea cruised to a comfortable home 2-0 victory to CSKA Moscow putting them in touching distance of the next stage after only 3 games
In other matches giants AC Milan faced a home tie against Barcelona and Juventus hosted German opponents Bayern Munich. Milan triumphantly beat Barca 1-0 and the result was the same for Juve.
